Booth #11 – Abot Kamay |
This bedroom was design to be a handicap-friendly bedroom inspired by Naprey Almario (yours truly), and the needs of someone with a disability. He is a teacher, a friend to all, a brother, an active charity worker, an ex -PBB Housemate and a voice for people with disabilities, but most of all a person that represents hope.
Functional and aesthetically pleasing, it is a space that reflects the personality and lifestyle of the individual. It is a sanctuary where he can relax, unwind but still be productive, a place where he can be himself.
A spacious bedroom done in achromatic black and white with splashes of textures and customized interior pieces. These different textures and patterns manage to introduce unique warmth to a modern and practical bedroom. From the flooring that compliments the wall to the furniture pieces and the ceiling, the space integrates different ideas tied together to create the booth’s design.
The room tells the story of Naprey’s life and his accomplishments as a person with disability. Everything is meticulously planned to be within his reach or ‘Abot Kamay’. The space is designed in a special way so that he will be able to maintain the room by himself, making it obstacle free for independent living.
